SMALL GROUPS - Fall is almost here with its wonderful aromas; apples, pumpkins and warm cider, it’s also time for our Small Groups. Just as much as apples and cider is connected with fall there are fragrances of small groups such as spiritual growth, service, and deep friendships. Virtually no other aspect of Church life will help you in your spiritual walk then small groups. As pastor Jim has said, “It’s about coming to the table.” If you would like to join a group, please contact the church office (989) 386-3381 or see Pastor Jeremy. We invite you to come and experience small groups!
On Campus Growth Groups is from 9:30-10:40 a.m.
This small group environment is ideal for all ages. We begin with nursery care for newborns thru 2 year olds. Then as a child turns 3 they may be enrolled in Sunday School and become part of the Children’s Ministry on the lower level. Forevermore we have a place for you in a small group setting....we call them Growth Groups. This time allows you to connect with your own peer group and develop friendships while gaining a deeper understanding of the Bible or a topical area.

Every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. CCN has a place for you! Our small groups are designed to make our growing church feel smaller. Our desire is for you to get connected, develop personal relationships and grow your relationship with Christ. The environment is authentic and caring...a place were you can make friends and become a part of the family. For current class information contact the church office at 386-3381.
Sunday Evening Study Group
What Makes You Happy, Pastor Jim will be hosting a study on Sunday nights featuring the works of Andy Stanley. Children will be in the Junior Church room for “Power Zone,” and those under the age of 3 will be in the nursery.
Kids Power Zone (KPZ) meeting Sunday nights at 5:30-7:00pm
Our vision for children at CCN is to see excited children building a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ. We will do this by providing an environment of excitement through physical activities (games), crafts/cooking and memorization of scripture that backs our statements of faith. A few areas we will explore are: pet care, gymnastics, money management, party planning, personal care, first aid, music/drama, manners, car care, gardening, and crafts-like weaving, macramé or painting.
J.O.Y. (Just Over Youth) People
This ministry connects church members 55 years and older in authentic Christian community. This group is designed for individuals and couples who enjoy sharing with those in a similar life stage. Typically, the events are informal and involve lots of fellowship and food. We often have special singers, quartets, speakers and whatever else sparks our interest. Talk with Ralph Eagley at 386-9667 or one of the pastors to find out when the next event is scheduled.
Children’s Sunday School (9:30-10:40)
Children from birth through 6th grade meet in an age appropriate small group setting where they learn Bible stories and do life application activities. Growth Group teachers are selected based on their love of Jesus and their love for children. You can be sure that your child will feel the love of God as they enter friendships with their peers, their teacher and Jesus Christ.

Children’s Church (excused from 2nd Service by Pastor)
Children begin the Worship Service with their family in the Family Life Center. The service begins with praise and prayer. Then, when Pastor excuses them, all children age 2 through 6th grade are excused for Children’s Church. Ages 2 years through kindergarten meet in sub-divided small groups while the 1st—6th graders meet in a large group in the multi-purpose room UL# 7. The children worship through songs, crafts, drama, and games that help them better understand God’s love for them and the importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ.

On Campus Growth Groups
Growth Groups is about Christian education in the small group setting. It is a time when students are divided up into classes for junior high girls, junior high boys and senior high students combined. The Sunday School setting is more Bible study based with the students having the opportunity to ask questions and dialog about biblical topics and their relevance in everyday life. On Campus Growth Group is every Sunday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. in the Youth Center. Junior and senior high students meet upstairs while young adults meet downstairs.
The best way to describe this event is extreme fellowship for teens. It is a given that almost anything can happen in this setting. On Sunday, Youth Almighty starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center and concludes at 7:00 p.m.
